With a busy week ahead it all starts on Wednesday with the mid week city meeting to be held on the Morphettville Parks track.

Race 1 we have Parmigiana having just her second start for John, after a promising run first up at Port Augusta we are looking forward too seeing her performance over the slightly longer trip.

Race 2 we have Spurparts making his debut, the 3 year old gelding by Jet Spur will gain valuable experience from the day and John is excited to see how he handles the pressure of race day.

Race 6 has Double Cream having her third start since arriving in Australia and has shown she can handle the Parks track with a eye catching 3rd when first up followed by a 4th on Gawler Cup Day on a slow track. With a forward position likely we hope to see her right in the race to the winning post.

Race 7 has Zip Express over the 1250m, she will look to have a forward showing in the race and looking to use the Parks track to her advantage.

Gawler Cup Day

Gawler Cup Day has arrived and with three runners for the day the stable is excited. With many horses running good races and consistantly placing trainer John Hyam is hopfull a win is on the cards today.

Resuming from a 24 week spell sprinter Dark Diva kicks off her preperation with a first up run in open class over 1209m and will look to take a forward position in the run from barrier 12.

Finniss Storm looks set for a big run in the feature race for the day ‘The Gawler Cup’ after a very good first up run 4 weeks ago he gets in well with 55kg and jumping from barrier 6 will ensure jockey Troy Baker will take up a forward position.

Double Cream having just he 2nd start for the stable will be looking to go 2 better today after a great first up run, the extra distance today should suit her.

Road To Finniss too strong again!

Road to Finniss won impressively by a length pulling away at Strathalbyn over 1200m on Wednesday 27th April, carrying 57kg.

This will be the 3rd win for this impressive gelding and we are looking forward to snagging one in the city soon!

John Hyam Racing & Finniss Lodge also were successful with a further two 2nd placings to top of the day.

Finally! Zip in Time wins her first at Gawler

Showing plenty of potential, Zip In Time won her first race at Gawler over 1500m on Wednesday 20th April, from Apache Sunrise and Rescued.

Returning from Port Lincoln, whereby her two previous runs she had placed second, Zip In Time has now finally broken through for a win. We are confident she will continue to improve!
